Hebrews

Jeremiah/Lamentations

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Loed, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."

Jeremiah 29: 11-13

"Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul."

Ezekiel 3:21

"Minor" Prophets

is a term denoting the length of these particular prophetic books. This term is not a commentary on the prophets, nor does it refer to the importance of the book. The term merely distinguishes the shorter prophetic books from the more lengthy books, or "Major" Prophets.

Jonah               Nahum                Amos
                Micah             Obadiah              Hosea
                            Ezra                     Esther

In love He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ. In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.

Book of Romans

Obedience of Faith

ROMANS 1:5 (NKJV)- Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name.

ROMANS 6:17 (NKJV)- But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.

ROMANS 16:26 (NKJV)- But now has been made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures has been made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

John 1:1-5

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

Daniel 3:16-18
